Frank R. Morrison Jr., a Navy veteran and well-regarded local businessman, passed away peacefully on April 6, 2026. A longtime resident of Westwood, Massachusetts, Morrison was originally from the Squantum neighborhood in Quincy, where he was raised after being born in East Boston.

Morrison served four years in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War, a period characterized by his commitment and humility. Following his military service, he pursued a career that reflected his skills and passion for craftsmanship. He held positions at General Dynamic Shipyard and Purity Supreme Supermarket before founding Morrison Painting, a business specializing in painting and remodeling.

Throughout his life, Morrison was known for his love of the ocean and nature, interests rooted in his early years by the coastal environment of Squantum. He is remembered by family and friends as a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather.

He is survived by his wife, Kathleen Malley-Morrison of Quincy, and his children KellyAnn Morrison of Squantum and Michael Morrison of Norwood. He also leaves behind his grandson, Michael Morrison Jr., and several siblings, including Kevin Morrison of Dennis and Kathleen Shea of Plymouth. Morrison was previously married to Catherine (Horan) Morrison of Quincy.

A visitation for family and friends will take place on April 13, 2026, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Keohane Funeral Home in Quincy. Details regarding his funeral service and subsequent interment at Massachusetts National Cemetery will be announced at a later date via the funeral home’s website. The family has requested that, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made as noted online.
