Several police officers sustained minor injuries during an incident involving a large group of youths on Bournemouth beach on Tuesday night. The disturbance, which escalated into a mass brawl involving more than 100 individuals, prompted officers to intervene and attempt to disperse the crowd.

Footage from the scene shows police leading away a young man after he was pursued across the beach. The confrontation intensified as some members of the group threw bottles at the responding officers. Despite the aggressive behavior, the injuries reported among the police were not serious.

Chris Wood, representing the Dorset Police Federation, acknowledged the efforts of the officers amid the challenging conditions and expressed gratitude toward members of the public who assisted the police during the event. The reasons behind the initial outbreak of violence have not been disclosed, and police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the altercation.
