The Medical Unit of the Qatari Hajj Mission has introduced new emergency healthcare technologies aimed at improving medical response services for Qatari pilgrims during the annual Hajj pilgrimage. Among the innovations unveiled is a Rapid Ambulance Scooter designed to enhance mobility and enable quicker access to patients in densely crowded areas where traditional ambulances often face operational challenges.

In addition to the scooter, the Medical Unit has upgraded the HT Rescue Jacket, a paramedic suit equipped with essential tools and medical supplies. This advancement allows medical teams to provide immediate intervention while maneuvering through the busy holy sites in Makkah.

Officials from the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) emphasized that these developments specifically target the critical issue of rapid medical assistance in environments where conventional emergency vehicles encounter difficulties. The combination of the Rapid Ambulance Scooter and the enhanced rescue gear aims to ensure timely and effective care for pilgrims, improving overall safety during one of the largest annual mass gatherings in the world.

The ministry highlighted its collaboration with various partner agencies to bolster the Medical Unit’s capabilities through the integration of advanced technologies and the deployment of highly trained personnel. These efforts reflect Qatar’s ongoing commitment to maintaining high healthcare standards for its pilgrims throughout the Hajj season.
