Tiger Woods is expected to miss all four of golf’s major championships for the second consecutive year. The 50-year-old American did not register for The Open Championship at Royal Birkdale, which is scheduled for July, missing the entry deadline.

Woods last competed in a major tournament in 2024 and has since been sidelined by a series of injuries. Earlier this year, he announced a break from professional golf following his arrest on charges of driving under the influence after a crash in March.

The 15-time major champion previously opted out of both The Masters and the USPGA Championship in 2025. Unlike some of the other majors, Woods does not hold a lifetime exemption to participate in the US Open, which will be held next month, further limiting his chances to return to major competition this season.
