The 11th Myanmar Lethwei World Championship is scheduled to take place on August 9 at Theinbyu Lethwei Arena in Yangon, starting at 2 p.m. The event is organized by the Myanmar Traditional Lethwei Federation (MTLF) and the Myanmar Martial Arts Group (MMAG), with Myanmar Economic Corporation serving as the primary sponsor. Additional support comes from MAI, Mingalar Aviation, A Bank, and Max Cement.

The championship will feature a series of matches across six weight categories. The event will open with a 53-kilogram, four-round bout between rising prospects Daung Mike Thway of Nine Lethwei and Saw Ruby of YMA. The second fight will feature Kayin Champion Aung Ko Latt from Ray facing Saw Htein Lin of 555 Sports in a 65-kilogram, four-round contest.

The championship will then move into its gold belt competitions. In the 56-kilogram category, MLWC gold medallist Salai Thang Kwi Shein of Kyar Ma Naing is set to face SEA Games bronze medallist Hein Tun Aung from Khay Yu Wah in a five-round title match. Another gold belt fight will see MLWC champion Eh Mwi of Eh Kanyaw compete against Sky Net Gold Flag champion Thant Zin from Python Tawwin Ayeya in the 60-kilogram division.

The co-main event will feature MLWC gold medallist Naing Win Tun of Nine Lethwei battling Kayin Champion Kabar Shah representing Zar Htet Meiktila in a five-round, 67-kilogram gold belt bout. The headline fight is set to be a 75-kilogram, five-round gold belt contest between Tun Min Aung from Top One and Raman of Yoe Yar Swan Ah. Both fighters have established strong reputations domestically and internationally and are noted for their knockout power, making this the most highly anticipated match of the evening.
