Fifteen celebrities have begun rehearsals for the upcoming series of Strictly Come Dancing, with participants stepping into the studio for the first time ahead of the live shows set to start next month. The line-up, confirmed earlier this week, features a diverse group from entertainment, sports, and media.

Delta Goodrem, known for her role on Neighbours, was among the first to arrive, appearing enthusiastic as she kicked off preparations. She was soon joined by other contestants, including Love Island star Dani Dyer, actress Jaime Winstone, and former professional footballer Shaun Wright-Phillips. Dyer returns to the competition after having to withdraw due to injury before last year’s series began.

On social media, Dyer shared a photo of herself en route to rehearsals, expressing excitement about the start of the process. Winstone posted a video highlighting her vocal warm-up routine, while Paralympian Dame Sarah Storey showcased her initial wardrobe fitting, describing the experience as “incredible” and comparing the elaborate costumes to being “like a little girl in a sweetshop.”

The full roster of contestants includes Melanie Walters, known for her role in Gavin and Stacey, who completes the list of 15 celebrities. Other participants are Lacey Turner, Chris Appleton, Cach Mercer, Will Best, Bethany Antonia, Graeme Hall, Lawrence Robb, Tabby Stoecker, and John Nellis.

Hosting duties for the new season will be shared by Emma Willis, professional dancer Johannes Radebe, and comedian Josh Widdicombe. As rehearsals continue, competitors have just a few weeks to master their routines before the series officially commences.
