The Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution (C4IR) Saudi Arabia recently concluded its “Quantum Journey” exhibition in Riyadh, an event aimed at advancing public understanding of quantum science and technology. Held under the theme “Shaping the Future of the Quantum Workforce,” the exhibition took place in partnership with King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST), King Salman Science Oasis (KSSO), the Institute of Advanced Studies and Cooperation, and ICB Labs.
Over the course of the exhibition, more than 1,500 visitors engaged with a range of interactive stations designed to provide an immersive educational experience. The event attracted a diverse audience, including government officials, researchers, students, families, and individuals interested in the emerging field of quantum science. Visitors had the opportunity to learn about the foundational principles of quantum mechanics and explore the potential applications of advanced quantum technologies.
During the closing ceremony, KSSO Supervisor General Dr. Khalid bin Abdulqader Taher emphasized the importance of the science oasis as a national hub that inspires and nurtures scientific curiosity among future generations. He highlighted the role of the platform in promoting discovery and innovation within Saudi Arabia’s scientific community.
Dr. Basma Saleh Al-Buhairan, Managing Director of C4IR Saudi Arabia, noted that the exhibition played a significant role in making complex quantum concepts more accessible to the broader public. She praised the enthusiastic participation of attendees across the exhibition’s educational and interactive components. Al-Buhairan also acknowledged the contributions of the event’s partners and organizers, underscoring their efforts in enhancing the exhibition’s impact and reinforcing the center’s mission to support the safe and ethical adoption of frontier technologies.
Both Taher and Al-Buhairan recognized the dedication of the organizing teams for their integral role in delivering a successful event that effectively communicated its educational goals. The exhibition marks a continued commitment by C4IR Saudi Arabia and its partners to foster awareness and engagement in cutting-edge scientific fields that are expected to shape the future workforce and economy.
