A 17-year-old male was stabbed at a Chipotle restaurant in Midtown Manhattan on Monday afternoon, according to law enforcement officials. The incident occurred around 2:40 p.m. at the fast-casual dining establishment on Eighth Avenue near West 52nd Street.

Authorities reported that the victim was stabbed in the torso during an altercation involving two groups of teenagers. Witnesses at the scene said the victim, who is a local high school student and frequent patron of the restaurant, was socializing with friends when a rival group of teens entered the premises and initiated the attack.

One employee described the assailants as suddenly rushing the victim’s group, resulting in the stabbing. The victim reportedly remained on the floor until emergency medical personnel arrived. Another staff member recounted that the confrontation escalated into a chaotic brawl involving more than a dozen teenagers, with some reportedly climbing on tables during the disturbance.

Emergency responders transported the injured teen to a nearby hospital, where he is expected to recover. Following the incident, police detained three teenagers in connection with the stabbing, although no charges were immediately filed.

The Chipotle location temporarily closed for approximately 30 minutes while law enforcement conducted their investigation at the scene. The circumstances leading up to the attack remain under investigation.
