An immersive space exhibition titled "Fly Me to the Moon: A 380,000km Odyssey" is currently on display at K11 Musea in Kowloon, offering visitors an interactive journey through space exploration. The exhibition, which runs until November 22, features eight themed zones that envision life in a lunar community by the year 2048.
The showcase includes a variety of aerospace artifacts, such as one of four booster engines from a Chinese Long March 3B orbital carrier rocket and the re-entry capsule and parachute from China’s Chang’e-6 mission conducted in 2024. Additional exhibits comprise spacesuits and a rare opportunity for visitors to experience simulated moon soil.
The event integrates panoramic projections, dynamic lighting, and soundscapes to enhance the immersive experience, culminating in a simulated view of Earth rising over the moon’s horizon. Attendees can also engage in astronaut challenges and simulated space missions designed to provide insight into the demands of living and working on the lunar surface.
Beyond the indoor exhibition space, visitors can observe planet installations and a model rocket located along the Tsim Sha Tsui waterfront. This display aims to educate and inspire public interest in space science and future lunar exploration.
