The draw for the 24th Arab Men’s Volleyball Championship is scheduled to take place today in Amman as teams finalize their preparations for the tournament, which will be held from October 4 to 14 at the Arena Hall in Al Hussein Youth City. The championship will follow a single round-robin format.

Participating teams confirmed so far include Kuwait, Jordan, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Oman, and Algeria. However, reports indicate that Egypt, Tunisia, and Palestine have withdrawn from the competition. Organizers are expected to announce the final list of participants ahead of the technical meeting.

Kuwait’s national volleyball team arrives in Amman with the aim of mounting a strong challenge. The team recently concluded a training camp in Cairo, where they played five friendly matches to prepare for the championship. Under the guidance of Argentine head coach Julian Alvarez and national assistant Zaid Al-Kadhmi, the camp focused on improving the players’ fitness, tactical awareness, and technical skills. Particular attention was given to fostering cohesion between veteran players and newer team members.

As the tournament approaches, Kuwait hopes to leverage its recent preparations to compete effectively against the other Arab teams in the region.
