Qatar participated in the second Arab Youth Leaders Forum, which commenced on September 29 at the Arab League General Secretariat headquarters in Cairo. The two-day event is organized in collaboration with the Arab Youth Council for Integrated Development and aims to foster cooperation and engagement among young leaders across the Arab world.
Leading Qatar’s delegation was Sheikh Jassim bin Abdulrahman bin Mohammed al-Thani, Qatar’s ambassador to Egypt and Permanent Representative to the Arab League. During the forum’s opening session, Sheikh Jassim received the Pioneers of Joint Arab Action Medal from the Arab Youth Council for Integrated Development. The award recognized his efforts in advancing Arab cooperation, enhancing communication, and supporting initiatives geared toward strengthening solidarity and collective action among Arab states.
In addition to honoring Sheikh Jassim, the council also acknowledged Qatar’s Ministry of Sports and Youth for its Fazaa Al Adaam Youth initiative. This program focuses on volunteerism and humanitarian work, underscoring Qatar’s commitment to promoting youth engagement in social service within the region.
The forum serves as a platform for young leaders to discuss challenges and opportunities facing youth in Arab countries and to promote collaborative projects that contribute to the socio-economic development of the region. With the involvement of Qatar and other member states, the event highlights ongoing efforts to support youth empowerment and regional integration through dialogue and shared initiatives.
