Five students from Myanmar—a group comprising two males and three females—have been chosen to attend the 16th Asian Science Camp, scheduled to take place from August 2 to August 8, 2026. The event will be hosted by the University of Hong Kong in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, China.

The Asian Science Camp, inaugurated in 2007, is an annual gathering held in various locations throughout Asia. Previous host sites have included Taiwan, Indonesia’s Bali, Japan, India, South Korea, Israel, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, and mainland China. The camp serves as a platform to connect young students with Nobel laureates and leading scientists from across the region.

Approximately 300 participants from diverse Asian countries attend the weeklong program, which features lectures, study visits, and science-related competitions. The initiative aims to foster scientific exchange and inspire the next generation of researchers and innovators.
