Allysandra Blea, a 21-year-old woman from Las Vegas, has been sentenced to a term of five years to life in prison for the death of her friend, 23-year-old Mark Gaughan. The sentencing took place on Tuesday following Blea’s guilty plea to charges of first-degree kidnapping and involuntary manslaughter.

The incident occurred on August 23, 2025, near the Las Vegas Strip. According to court reports, Blea fired a single shot that struck Gaughan in the neck, resulting in his death. Prior to the shooting, the two had been drinking vodka and smoking marijuana for several hours at the home of a mutual friend.

During the court proceedings, Blea was described as having made statements expressing a desire to “shoot people with real guns and get away with it,” factors that may have influenced the severity of the charges and sentencing.
