Nine people lost their lives in a severe traffic collision on the Al-Uqair-Al-Uyun road in the Al-Ahsa governorate of Saudi Arabia’s Eastern Province on Monday. The crash involved two vehicles and resulted in the deaths of seven members of one family and two additional individuals in the other car.

Authorities identified the victims from the first vehicle as a father, mother, three sons, and two daughters. The two deceased in the second vehicle were young men. Both vehicles were reported to have sustained significant damage in the collision.

The Eastern Province Traffic Department responded promptly to the scene. Officials indicated that the accident occurred after one of the drivers made a sudden swerve, although a full investigation was ongoing. Traffic authorities confirmed that all necessary procedures related to the incident were being finalized.
