The Menopause Vitamin Company (MVC), based in Ipswich, is gaining traction with its all-in-one supplement designed to support women through menopause. Founded by Melissa Dickinson, the company offers its Vibrancy Blend, a daily formulation containing 26 vitamins, minerals, and plant extracts aimed at easing common menopausal symptoms such as hot flushes and hormonal imbalance.

Dickinson, who experienced menopausal symptoms herself, launched MVC five years ago after identifying the challenges women face in navigating an often confusing and crowded supplements market. Initially working part-time in a bridal shop while developing the business, she transitioned fully into the venture in 2023, retraining as a menopause wellness practitioner to provide tailored support alongside the supplements.

The Ipswich-based company, which manufactures its products in the UK through medically regulated facilities using predominantly domestic ingredients, has recently enhanced its formula. The updated version includes higher levels of B vitamins for improved absorption and increased hyaluronic acid to aid skin moisture. MVC reports that these quality features have resonated well with customers.

Targeting primarily women aged 45 to 60, the company has noted a broadening age range among its user base, reflecting increased awareness and earlier onset of menopausal symptoms. To streamline customer access, MVC introduced a subscription model on its website, which founder Dickinson describes as pivotal for the company’s growth. She also credits training through Starling Bank’s Female Founder Fundamentals Programme for strengthening her digital marketing skills, an area she identifies as key to scaling the business.

Currently profitable, MVC anticipates a turnover of £100,000 next year and projects a 25% increase in sales. The business aims to expand its product portfolio over the next 18 months with complementary omega-3 and magnesium supplements and plans to deepen wholesale partnerships with wellness and aesthetic clinics.

Beyond its commercial goals, Dickinson emphasizes the company’s broader mission to support women through education and personalized care. She offers one-to-one consultations, workplace education sessions, and speaks at women’s health events to address the stigma and misunderstanding often associated with menopause. “It’s always been about more than supplements, but helping women be seen, heard and supported at a time when they are often misunderstood,” she said.

The Menopause Vitamin Company combines a focus on product quality with holistic wellness support to meet the needs of women navigating the complexities of menopause.
