Originally known for a two-month, multi-city tour across the U.S. and Canada, Warped Tour 2023 marked a shift to a five-stop lineup, commencing in Long Beach and including Montreal, Mexico City, Orlando, and Washington, D.C. This renewed format was developed in partnership with EDM promoter Insomniac, expanding the festival's scope while aiming to preserve the core elements that defined its identity.
Lyman described the 2022 comeback show in Long Beach as a pivotal moment, emphasizing the importance of balancing innovation with tradition. He acknowledged the upgrades in production—larger stages, elaborate lighting, and video displays—while striving to maintain the festival’s signature atmosphere.
