Aamal Energy, a subsidiary of the diversified regional firm Aamal Company, has secured a five-year procurement services contract valued at over QR100 million with a local company. The agreement, announced on Thursday, involves managing the procurement cycle for the client’s low-risk maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) commodities and consumables.

Under the contract, Aamal Energy will oversee the entire procurement process, including supplier sourcing, bid evaluation, purchase order placement, delivery coordination, and order close-out procedures. The company will also handle follow-ups on claims and warranties, ensuring smooth operational support for the client’s day-to-day requirements.

A dedicated procurement team will be assigned to the project, leveraging integrated systems and regular reporting mechanisms to enhance efficiency and transparency. This deal represents a significant development in Aamal Energy’s efforts to expand within sectors that promise sustained growth and to bolster its role in supporting Qatar’s energy and industrial supply chains.

Rashid bin Ali Al Mansoori, Chief Executive Officer of Aamal Company, described the contract as a key milestone that aligns with the group’s strategy to broaden its footprint in energy and industrial services. He emphasized the company’s commitment to delivering reliable and effective procurement services tailored to the client’s operational needs, while laying the groundwork for a lasting partnership.

Al Mansoori also highlighted the contract’s potential to foster specialized expertise within Aamal Energy and to serve as a platform for pursuing additional projects and collaborations that enhance local capabilities. He indicated that the company aims to leverage this experience to compete for further opportunities and help drive Aamal’s diversification efforts and shareholder value over the long term.

Looking forward, the engagement is expected to deepen Aamal Energy’s connections with equipment manufacturers and specialist suppliers, strengthening its track record in industrial and energy procurement. The company sees this as a foundation for expanding its procurement services and industrial solutions, as well as for collaborating with international firms seeking to grow their presence in the Qatari market.
