Aamal Company QPSC, a prominent diversified business in the region, has announced the launch of an artificial intelligence (AI)-powered maintenance platform through its subsidiary, Advanced Pipes & Casts Co (APC), a leading pipes manufacturer in Qatar. The newly developed APC Maintenance Hub aims to enhance maintenance operations by integrating advanced automation, intelligent analytics, and data-driven decision-making.

Developed internally by APC, the Maintenance Hub provides a unified digital environment where maintenance teams can manage machines, spare parts, maintenance records, and operational data. The platform’s AI capabilities enable users to generate engineering drawings from images or descriptions, automatically extract technical specifications from machine nameplates, and analyze maintenance issues to identify potential solutions. It also offers real-time operational insights to support more effective troubleshooting and asset management.

In addition to maintenance functions, the platform incorporates automated inventory management tools that streamline the processing of delivery notes, invoices, and Excel-based records. It also assists in sourcing appropriate local and international suppliers for spare parts. The AI-powered analytics embedded in the system deliver actionable insights into machine performance, maintenance patterns, inventory status, and workforce scheduling, facilitating more informed decision-making for engineers and managers.

Aamal’s Chief Executive Rashid bin Ali al-Masoori emphasized that the launch of the Maintenance Hub aligns with the company’s broader strategy to foster innovation across its operations, invest in new technologies, and boost competitiveness while supporting sustainable growth.

APC’s Operations General Manager Basil Awwad highlighted that the platform was designed to address practical operational challenges and provide maintenance teams with smarter tools and actionable insights. He noted that automating routine tasks, improving access to information, and enabling predictive maintenance will enhance productivity, minimize equipment downtime, and uphold high standards of operational excellence.

Awwad expressed gratitude to the employees involved in the project’s development and implementation, singling out Eng. Amr Mousa, head of the Maintenance Department at APC, for his continuous dedication and leadership in bringing the Maintenance Hub to completion and launch.
