Jockey Aamilah Aswat has been suspended for 20 days after exceeding the permitted use of the whip in a race at Chepstow last week. Aswat, who rides for trainers Kim Bailey and Mat Nicholls, was found to have used her whip five times beyond the allowed limit of seven during the event on the horse Reallyntruthfully.

This ruling marks a significant disciplinary action within British jump racing. Aswat gained recognition earlier this year when she became the first black female jump jockey to secure a victory in the United Kingdom, achieving the milestone in February. The ban requires her to serve a suspension period, sidelining her from competition for nearly three weeks.
