Abu Dhabi’s non-oil foreign trade with Arab countries surpassed Dh87 billion during the first seven months of 2026, according to data released by the Statistics Centre – Abu Dhabi (SCAD). The figures detail a robust trade relationship between Abu Dhabi and Arab nations, with total exports reaching approximately Dh30.4 billion, re-exports amounting to Dh32.8 billion, and imports totaling Dh24.4 billion over the period.

Arab countries were significant trading partners, consistently ranking among Abu Dhabi’s leading export destinations. In particular, they topped the list of export markets in January, February, June, and July.

Overall, Abu Dhabi’s total non-oil foreign trade reached Dh258 billion in the January-July period of 2026. This includes Dh144.2 billion in exports and Dh113.6 billion in imports across all international markets, highlighting the emirate’s diversified external trade activities beyond the oil sector.

Looking ahead to full-year projections, data from 2025 show a marked increase in Abu Dhabi’s non-oil foreign trade, which grew by 36 percent to Dh415.4 billion, up from around Dh306 billion in 2024. This growth was driven by an expansion across key categories, with exports valued at Dh46.2 billion, re-exports at Dh45.5 billion, and imports reaching Dh32.2 billion.

The figures reflect strengthening trade ties within the Arab region as well as broader international markets, underpinning Abu Dhabi’s role as a major economic hub in the Middle East. The steady rise in non-oil trade volumes underscores the emirate’s ongoing efforts to diversify its economy and expand its commercial reach beyond hydrocarbons.
