Air India Express has expanded its flight network from Abu Dhabi by launching direct services to Amritsar and resuming operations to Goa, with both routes operating three times per week. The new flights commenced on October 25, linking Abu Dhabi International Airport (AUH) with Sri Guru Ram Dass Jee International Airport in Amritsar and Goa International Airport (GOX), according to Abu Dhabi Airports.

These additions increase Air India Express’s connectivity from Abu Dhabi to 17 Indian cities, supporting approximately 160 weekly flights between the emirate and India. Over the past year, the carrier has introduced services from Abu Dhabi to several other Indian destinations, including Guwahati, Indore, Hyderabad, Lucknow, Navi Mumbai, and Pune.

Carsten Norland, Chief Commercial Officer at Abu Dhabi Airports, highlighted the significance of the new routes in expanding travel options. He noted that India continues to be a key market for Abu Dhabi and that the launch of services to Amritsar, along with the reinstatement of flights to Goa, will further strengthen ties between the two countries.

In addition to Amritsar and Goa, Air India Express currently operates direct flights from Abu Dhabi to a range of Indian cities such as Bengaluru, Delhi, Kannur, Kochi, Kozhikode, Mangaluru, Mumbai, Thiruvananthapuram, and Tiruchirappalli.
