Abu Dhabi residents can now obtain birth and death certificates along with their digital attestation through a single, streamlined process on the TAMM government services platform. This integration, announced on Wednesday by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) and the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi (DoH), merges previously separate steps into one accessible procedure available around the clock.

The new service enables users to complete both the issuance and attestation of birth and death certificates within minutes via a unified digital platform. It was made possible by connecting the internal systems of MoFA and DoH to allow seamless information exchange. According to DoH data, approximately 47,000 birth and death certificates were issued across Abu Dhabi in 2025.

Sheikha Hissa Bint Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, Assistant Undersecretary for Consular Affairs at MoFA, emphasized that enhanced integration among government bodies simplifies procedures and improves service delivery. She noted that linking government data and systems reduces redundant steps and facilitates digital services through a single user journey. MoFA reported that its digital collaborations with various government partners have resulted in reductions in requirements, procedures, and service times by as much as 90%.

Khalaf Helal Al Mazrouei, Director General of Corporate Enablement and Community Services at DoH, highlighted that merging issuance and attestation services improves operational efficiency and supports Abu Dhabi’s goal of a fully integrated digital government. He described the change as a key step toward accelerating government digital transformation.

This development is part of broader efforts in Abu Dhabi to digitize government procedures and minimize the number of steps residents must complete. DoH indicated that it will continue cooperating with other government entities to expand digital service offerings, aiming to make administrative processes faster and more user-friendly.
