AC Milan and Juventus both ended brief winless runs in Serie A on Sunday with convincing home victories, while Fiorentina extended their unbeaten streak and Como suffered an unexpected defeat.

At the San Siro, AC Milan secured a 3-0 win over Lecce to move up to fifth place in the league standings, just two points behind early leaders Roma, Inter, and Lazio. This victory helped ease pressure on Milan coach Ruben Amorim, whose side had not won in three consecutive matches across all competitions. Christian Pulisic marked his first start of the season by scoring his first goal of 2026 in the 14th minute, curling in an elegant finish after controlling a long pass. Adrien Rabiot added a second goal just after halftime following a well-constructed team move, and substitute Diego Moreira – who scored his third goal in two league outings – completed the scoring.

“We still have a lot to do, but we are playing better and improving. The most important thing, though, is that we are learning,” Amorim told DAZN. He noted that the team had struggled previously due to rigid positional structure but showed more freedom and fluidity in their play on Sunday.

Juventus returned to winning ways with a 2-0 home victory over Atalanta in Turin, climbing to seventh place. Francisco Conceicao opened the scoring in the 28th minute with a low shot, registering his first goal of the season. Despite chances being created at both ends in the second half, goalkeepers were tested, and Juventus striker Randal Kolo Muani notably made a goal-line clearance to preserve the clean sheet. Gleison Bremer secured the win by heading in a corner with 13 minutes remaining. This was Juve’s first triumph after two prior draws and handed Atalanta, coached by Maurizio Sarri, their third consecutive defeat. Atalanta currently sit 11th in the table.

Fiorentina maintained their positive momentum by earning a 1-1 draw at home against Napoli, extending their unbeaten run under new coach Paolo Vanoli. Vanoli returned to the Florence side after Fabio Grosso was dismissed following three losses at the start of the season. Under Vanoli’s leadership, Fiorentina has shown steady improvement, including victories over Venezia in Serie A and Pisa in the Coppa Italia. The draw against Napoli keeps Fiorentina two points clear of the relegation zone.

Meanwhile, Como experienced a surprise loss to Frosinone, disrupting their early campaign. The defeat added to the competitive dynamics of the league as teams jockey for position in the early stages of the season.
