Kuwait City – Acting Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al-Sabah presided over a cabinet meeting on Wednesday, during which the government expressed strong condemnation of recent attacks attributed to the Houthi militia targeting Saudi Arabia.

The cabinet denounced an attempted drone attack on the city of Makkah, reaffirming Kuwait’s full support for Saudi Arabia and its efforts to safeguard its sovereignty, security, and the protection of its holy sites. The meeting also addressed a series of assaults carried out by the Houthi militia involving ballistic missiles and drones against the Saudi cities of Khamis Mushait, Abha, and Taif. These attacks reportedly resulted in injuries to several civilians and caused damage to residential properties.

In addition, the Kuwaiti cabinet condemned an attack on Saudi Arabia’s East-West pipeline in the Riyadh and Madina regions. The incident, which occurred on Saturday, involved several drones launched from Iraqi territory and caused both material damage and injuries. The government characterized these attacks as a serious escalation that threatens regional stability and called for an immediate halt to such aggression.

Beyond the condemnation of these security incidents, the cabinet reviewed various agenda items and reports. Some of these matters were referred to relevant ministerial committees for further analysis, with the expectation that appropriate recommendations will be made to facilitate necessary actions and implementations.

The cabinet’s response reflects Kuwait’s ongoing concern over regional tensions and its commitment to solidarity with neighboring Saudi Arabia amid rising security challenges.
