Actress Dakota Johnson and rapper Machine Gun Kelly have reportedly begun a romantic relationship, with mutual friends playing a role in bringing the two together, according to sources familiar with the situation.

The 36-year-old "Fifty Shades of Grey" star and the rapper, whose real name is Colson Baker, are said to have grown closer following the wedding of singer Taylor Swift in July. The pair were recently seen spending time together in New York City, including a visit to Swift’s apartment and a dinner at the Michelin-starred restaurant Estela. Reports indicate that their evening extended into an overnight stay at a hotel.

A source involved in the entertainment circle described the relationship as a fresh connection, adding that both Johnson and Kelly are currently single and exploring the possibility of a romantic partnership.

Johnson, daughter of actors Don Johnson and Melanie Griffith, has a history of high-profile relationships. She was previously involved with Coldplay lead singer Chris Martin for eight years, with reports of an engagement in 2020 that was never publicly confirmed. Their relationship ended in June 2025. More recently, in December 2025, Johnson was linked to American singer Role Model, who featured her voice on his song "Love I You."

Kelly, meanwhile, has been single since his 2024 breakup with actress Megan Fox. The couple’s separation came shortly after announcing she was expecting their first child, a daughter named Saga.

Neither Johnson nor Kelly has publicly commented on their reported relationship at this time.
