US actress Selma Blair was arrested following an incident on a Delta Air Lines flight from Los Angeles to New York City that resulted in injuries to at least two flight attendants, authorities reported. The event occurred on Oct. 11, with Blair detained upon the flight’s arrival at John F. Kennedy Airport.

According to reports, Blair, 54, allegedly punched one flight attendant and bit another during the flight. After being taken off the plane, she was said to have assaulted a police officer and a nurse while receiving medical attention. The Federal Bureau of Investigation subsequently issued a summons charging her with assaults committed on the aircraft.

Blair was arraigned on two counts of second-degree assault on Oct. 12 and was released on bail pending a new court hearing scheduled for Jan. 19, 2027. A spokesperson for Delta Air Lines emphasized the company’s firm stance against unruly behavior, noting that the safety of passengers and crew remains the airline’s top priority.

A representative for Blair stated that she experienced a medical emergency that precipitated the alleged conduct. The statement added that she received immediate medical care after landing and is currently in stable condition.

This is not Blair’s first in-flight incident. In 2016, she was removed from a plane on a stretcher following another disruptive episode. At that time, Blair attributed her behavior to a combination of alcohol and medication that caused her to blackout and act in ways she regretted. In her 2022 memoir, she also recounted biting several celebrities, including supermodel Kate Moss, often during episodes involving alcohol consumption.
