Craig Greiwe and Trent Alan Keel’s relationship began with a seemingly unremarkable first date in Los Angeles in September 2023 but quickly developed into a committed partnership marked by shared values and significant milestones. The two men originally connected on the dating app Hinge in August of that year.

Their initial meeting included drinks at a now-closed taquería and an unexpected visit to a local gay sports bar, where Keel surprised Greiwe by expressing interest in continuing their acquaintance. Despite an initial impression of Keel as reserved, Greiwe later described him as possessing a deep calm and steadiness, rather than disinterest.

Keel, 36, hails from Moore, Oklahoma, and pursued dance performance studies at the University of Central Oklahoma before shifting to a career path that blends the arts with business. He now serves as marketing director at Amika, a hair care company, and has experience as a singer, dancer, and hairstylist. Greiwe, 44, from Greensburg, Indiana, holds degrees in French and theater as well as a law degree from Columbia University. He is chief growth officer at GoDigital, a media and technology firm.

Following several months of dating through late 2023, the couple spent time apart due to professional obligations, with Keel traveling to Australia and Greiwe to Europe. Despite the distance, they maintained regular contact, with Keel notably calling Greiwe at the stroke of midnight on New Year’s Eve from Sydney.

Their relationship progressed steadily, and upon Greiwe’s return, they formalized their partnership during a dinner at a sushi restaurant in Los Angeles in late January 2024, agreeing to move forward as a couple. Though they maintain differing perspectives on religion and personal interests, both share a vision centered on monogamy, family, and creating a meaningful legacy.

The couple’s engagement came during the 2024 holiday season. On December 6, Greiwe arranged a private dinner at his home, bringing their parents together for the first time. During the evening, amidst holiday preparations, Greiwe presented Keel with three custom ornaments, the last containing a note proposing marriage before he knelt with a ring. After Keel accepted, the event turned into a surprise engagement celebration with family and friends. They moved in together several months later in April 2025 in Los Angeles.

Their first trip together, in March 2024, was to Coworth Park, a luxury countryside estate near London that Greiwe described as his favorite location. The property staff surprised the couple with personalized celebrations and Greiwe shared his hope to marry there someday.

That aspiration was fulfilled on August 15, 2026, when Keel and Greiwe wed at Coworth Park under the officiation of Lady Caroline Davison, the superintendent registrar for Windsor and Maidenhead. The ceremony was attended by 124 guests, who took part in a four-day celebration featuring traditional British country activities such as croquet, archery, falconry, and ferret racing.
