Karim Adeyemi, the 24-year-old left winger for Borussia Dortmund, is en route to Barcelona for a medical examination, signaling a likely transfer to the Spanish club. According to reports, Adeyemi departed Dortmund airport on a private flight to Barcelona on Wednesday, accompanied by his wife, the musician Loredana.

The move to Barcelona, currently Spanish champions, appears to be nearing completion, with club president Joan Laporta confirming the transfer is imminent. Adeyemi had already missed Borussia Dortmund’s preseason activities and was granted permission to negotiate with other clubs.

Adeyemi, who joined Dortmund from Red Bull Salzburg four years ago, has a contract with the German club running until 2027. However, he had communicated his desire to leave the club ahead of the transfer. The forthcoming medical is expected to be one of the final steps before the deal is officially finalized.
