The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) is advancing its digital infrastructure by developing capabilities for digital asset wallets and tokenisation, aiming to support on-chain assets and future digital investment products. This initiative comes as part of ADX’s broader strategy to expand its role in the digital assets space.

ADX Group has entered into a strategic partnership with DFNS, a digital asset custody technology provider, granting the exchange access to enterprise-grade wallet infrastructure. The collaboration is designed to facilitate the issuance, listing, and trading of digital assets while enabling ADX to build integrated wallet and tokenisation features.

Founded in 2020, DFNS offers wallet infrastructure that supports on-chain transaction workflows across more than 30 blockchains and over 1,000 digital tokens. Its technology is utilized by various financial institutions, including banks and fintech companies, to enhance the security and efficiency of digital asset management.

This agreement marks an extension of ADX’s ongoing efforts in the digital asset sector, which have included the listing of digitally native bonds and investigations into tokenised equities. By incorporating DFNS’s technology, ADX is positioned to support a wider array of on-chain products and services, bolstering its digital asset offerings.

The partnership also distinguishes ADX as one of the first financial market infrastructures in the region to develop integrated solutions for digital asset wallets and tokenisation, reflecting a growing trend among exchanges to embrace blockchain-based financial instruments as part of their innovation strategies.
