Boston-based artificial intelligence company ASI announced Tuesday that it has raised $325 million in a funding round led by Spark Capital, Andreessen Horowitz, and Craft Ventures. The investment values the company at $3 billion.

ASI, formerly known as Air Space Intelligence, relocated from Silicon Valley to Boston in 2024. The firm specializes in developing AI models aimed at managing physical assets within the transportation, energy, and military sectors, distinguishing itself from AI companies focused primarily on language models.

Earlier this year, ASI secured significant government contracts, including a 12-year, $875 million agreement with the U.S. Department of Transportation and the Federal Aviation Administration. It also recently won a five-year, $99 million contract with the U.S. Army. The freshly raised capital will support the expansion of ASI’s research teams and product development efforts based in Boston.

This funding round is among the largest venture capital investments recorded in Massachusetts in 2026. The Boston area has become a growing hub for AI startups, with companies such as Blitzy and Suno establishing a presence alongside regional offices of larger AI firms.
