American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) has been ranked the highest among private universities in Bangladesh in the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings 2027. The university placed within the 801–1,000 band globally, according to the latest edition of the rankings.
The THE World University Rankings evaluated 2,297 institutions across 118 countries and territories, assessing performance in key areas such as teaching quality, research environment, research output and impact, industry engagement, and international outlook. The comprehensive assessment incorporates multiple metrics including research publications, citation impact, student-to-staff ratios, collaborations with industry partners, and the extent of international collaboration.
