HE Dr. Maryam bint Ali bin Nasser al-Misnad, Qatar’s Minister of State for International Co-operation, held separate meetings on Tuesday with Canada’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Anita Anand and Norway’s State Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Eivind Vad Petersson. These discussions took place on the sidelines of the Second International Conference on Returning Ukrainian Children, Detained Civilians, and Prisoners of War.

The meetings focused on enhancing bilateral cooperation and strengthening diplomatic relations between Qatar and the respective countries. Both sides also exchanged views on various matters of mutual interest, although specific topics beyond the general scope were not disclosed.

The conference, which addresses the humanitarian and legal challenges related to detained individuals amid the conflict in Ukraine, provided a platform for officials from different nations to engage on these pressing issues.
