The 11th round of the Qatar Equestrian Tour – Longines Hathab took place at the Qatar Equestrian Federation’s main arena, showcasing competitive performances across multiple showjumping categories.
In the highlight Gold Tour 140cm class, Kuwait’s Fawaz al-Rashed emerged victorious aboard Gaia des Forets, completing a clear round in 64.75 seconds. French rider Jean-Francois Rondoux finished closely behind in second place with Flower du Rouet, clocking 65.73 seconds. Qatar’s Salman Mohammed al-Emadi claimed third place riding Candlelight O, finishing in 65.85 seconds.
The Gold Tour team event saw Team Wathnan secure first place with a combined time of 134.98 seconds. Team Al Shaqab finished second, registering a total time of 144.65 seconds. The winning teams were presented with their awards by Mohammed Saleh al-Marri, Head of the Facilities and Logistics Committee for the championship.
In the Open Tour 110cm class, Saudi Arabia’s Khaled al-Hadi took first place with DSP Cessy, delivering a double clear round in 30.42 seconds. Qatar’s Sultan Salem al-Naemi placed second atop Cethys de Vernay with a time of 30.45 seconds, while Abdulla Tamim al-Thani rounding out the podium in third place on Let It Be des Hurlevents, crossing the finish line in 31.07 seconds.
The Junior category featured a strong field, with Abdullah bin Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani securing first place, followed by Sultan Jassim al-Suwaidi in second riding Cat Blue, and Abdullah Ahmed al-Musaifri taking third place aboard Celia. Their victories were acknowledged by Abdullah Ali al-Qashouti, Head of the Media and Live Broadcasting Committee for Longines Hathab.
In the Future Riders 70cm class, Alya Ahmad al-Khater claimed top honors riding Vahine de Curaine with a clear round of 16.64 seconds. Hissa Ali al-Jaber and Salman Faisal al-Marri completed the podium in second and third place on Violet Van Het Koetshujs and Friedrichshof Dark Dream, respectively. Ahmed al-Badawi, Head of the Judging Committee for the tournament, awarded the Future Riders winners.
The final day of competition will see the 11th round conclude with the Diamond Tour at 150cm, alongside the Bronze Tour individual and team events at 120cm and Future Riders class at 90cm. Dressage contests will also be held at the federation’s indoor arena starting at 9 a.m.
The Longines Hathab Qatar Equestrian Tour comprises 14 rounds hosted at the Qatar Equestrian Federation venues and the Longines grounds at Al Shaqab. The championship remains a premier fixture in Qatar’s domestic equestrian calendar.
