Al-Shabab and Al-Jahra were relegated from the Zain Premier League following the conclusion of the 21st and final round of the relegation group. Despite a strong performance that saw Al-Shabab defeat Al-Tadhamon 3-1, both teams failed to secure enough points to maintain their top-flight status.
The match at Thamer Stadium saw Al-Tadhamon take an early lead in the 37th minute through Mohammed Al-Qabandi. Al-Shabab responded after halftime with an equalizer from Abdullah Al-Fadhli in the 54th minute. Ahmed Al-Riyahi then gave Al-Shabab the advantage in the 78th minute, and Yaqoub Al-Tararwa extended the lead with a goal three minutes before the final whistle. Despite this comeback, Al-Shabab’s victory was insufficient to avoid relegation due to goal difference.
At Al-Sadaqa Wal-Salam Stadium, Al-Nasr managed to secure their Premier League status with a 1-1 draw against Al-Jahra. Al-Jahra opened the scoring in the 36th minute through Abdullah Al-Saeedi, but Fawaz Al-Mubailish equalized for Al-Nasr late in the 85th minute, preserving their position in the league. The draw, however, confirmed Al-Jahra’s relegation as they finished the season at the bottom of the table.
Final standings in the relegation group placed Al-Tadhamon seventh with 22 points and Al-Nasr eighth with 21 points. Al-Shabab also ended the campaign with 21 points but dropped to ninth place due to an inferior goal difference, resulting in their demotion alongside Al-Jahra, who accumulated just 12 points throughout the season.
