Al Shaqab, a member of the Qatar Foundation, will host the fourth edition of the Al Shaqab International Arabian Horse Show from November 4 to 7, 2026, at its outdoor arena in Doha. The event, supported by the Social & Sport Contribution Fund (DAAM), will gather breeders, owners, and leading studs from Qatar and across the globe to compete and celebrate the purebred Arabian horse.

The championship is held under the patronage of H.E. Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani, President of the Qatar Olympic Committee and Chairman of Al Shaqab’s Board of Directors. Now entering its fourth year, the event builds on the success of the 2025 edition, which drew a diverse field of international participants and elevated the competition’s profile within the global Arabian horse community.

Classified as a Category B Show by the European Conference of Arab Horse Organizations (ECAHO), the Al Shaqab championship allows competing horses to earn qualification points toward higher-ranked international events. This designation underscores the show’s growing prominence and competitive standing on the international calendar.

Registration for the upcoming edition will open on September 20, 2026, remaining open through October 1. Organisers invite owners and breeders to submit entries, providing an opportunity to showcase their horses at this prestigious event.

Khalid Al Jehani, a representative of Al Shaqab, highlighted the championship’s role in preserving the heritage of the purebred Arabian horse and enhancing its international reputation. He noted the increasing participation from various countries, reflecting the event’s status as a major fixture in the Arabian horse show circuit. According to Al Jehani, the fourth edition aims to enhance the quality and competitiveness established by prior events, reinforcing Al Shaqab’s commitment to the breed’s legacy.
