A new dental surgery service dedicated to patients with disabilities has been inaugurated at Al Suwaiq Hospital in the Al Batinah North Governorate, marking an expansion in the facility’s medical offerings. Alongside this development, the hospital also introduced a specialized clinic focused on the treatment of temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders.

The initiative was carried out by a medical team from Al Nahdha Hospital, aiming to enhance the availability of specialized care within the region and reduce the necessity of referring patients to external hospitals. This move is intended to streamline patient access to healthcare, improve the quality of services, and shorten waiting times.

The newly established services are supported by multidisciplinary teams, including professionals specialized in anesthesia, nursing, and technical support. By localizing these specialized treatments, Al Suwaiq Hospital is positioned to serve vulnerable patient groups more efficiently, aligning with broader efforts to develop healthcare infrastructure and meet the community’s needs directly.
