Comedian Alan Carr has assembled a predominantly female panel for the upcoming series of ITV’s "The Masked Singer," joining singer Paloma Faith and television host Stacey Solomon. According to insiders, the panel will also feature singer Anne-Marie and television personality Amanda Holden at various points during the new season.

The selection of panelists continues a trend of Carr surrounding himself with close friends and well-known female figures. A source familiar with the show noted that jokes are already circulating about the group being made up of Alan Carr’s “lady friends,” highlighting the camaraderie shared among some of the panelists, particularly Carr and Amanda Holden, who have previously worked together.

Carr and Holden co-hosted BBC renovation programs including "The Italian Job" and are reported to be engaged in a confidential project set to air on another network. Their longstanding professional relationship is expected to bring a strong dynamic to the panel.

This new lineup will compete against the existing judging team composed of Mo Gilligan, Jonathan Ross, Davina McCall, and Maya Jama. While it remains unclear whether these four women will be the sole permanent panelists alongside Carr, the show is known for featuring guest judges throughout the series.

The upcoming season builds on the success of the format, with the evolving panelography adding fresh appeal ahead of its premiere later this year.
