Allianz Lanka held its Annual Awards 2026 gala on August 26 at the Colombo City Hotel, honoring outstanding achievements within Sri Lanka’s financial sector. The event celebrated contributions from 26 life insurance companies, individuals, and organizations across diverse industries, emphasizing their role in bolstering the country’s economy and employment.

Recognized as a prestigious event within Sri Lanka’s financial, leasing, and insurance sectors, the awards highlighted innovation, dedication, and operational excellence despite ongoing global economic challenges. This year’s ceremony also marked the 25th meeting of Allianz Alumni Volunteers, with activities held at prominent locations including Sri Lanka Cricket’s International Cricket Council headquarters, the Colombo Rotary Club, Royal and National Sports Grounds, and the Board of Engineers’ facilities.

Harshana Ranaweera, Chairman and Managing Director of Allianz Lanka and CEO of the Allianz Lanka Group Companies, alongside the Chairman and CEO of the Sri Lanka Board of Engineers and members of the Colombo Rotary Club’s Corporate Steering Committee, were among the key figures who spearheaded the event. The ceremony served as a platform to underscore Allianz Lanka’s resilience and commitment to sustaining financial stability and social development within the country.

Throughout the evening, 21 awards were distributed to individuals and entities demonstrating exceptional leadership across banking, insurance, leasing, asset management, and financial advisory services. The selections underscored the critical role of innovation and steadfast dedication in maintaining Sri Lanka’s economic security and growth.
