The 11th edition of Hospitality Qatar 2026, currently underway at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre and running through October 14, has named almeera as its official retail partner. The partnership highlights almeera’s expanding focus on business-to-business (B2B) services, particularly within Qatar’s hospitality sector, which includes hotels, restaurants, and catering businesses.

As one of Qatar’s leading national retailers, almeera aims to leverage the event to deepen engagement with hospitality industry players by showcasing its extensive product range, sourcing capabilities, and wide supplier network. Hospitality Qatar has grown over the past decade into a significant platform that connects operators, suppliers, investors, and industry professionals from both local and international markets, fostering business development and collaboration.

Jassim Mohammed al-Ansari, CEO of almeera, emphasized the company’s role in supporting the growth of Qatar’s hospitality ecosystem. He noted that the event provides an important meeting point for stakeholders across the sector — from producers and suppliers to hotels and restaurants — and praised the opportunity to enlarge almeera’s B2B footprint. The retailer is focused on creating new opportunities to support the industry’s expansion while contributing to its ongoing development.

Central to almeera’s strategy is its commitment to promoting local producers. The company collaborates closely with Qatari farms, manufacturers, and domestic brands, helping to bring national products to a wider audience across the country. Participation in Hospitality Qatar facilitates connections between these local producers and buyers in the hospitality sector, potentially expanding market access.

Almeera’s supplier network plays a key role in ensuring the resilience of Qatar’s food supply. The company partners with nearly 200 local businesses, generating around QR 7 million in annual volume and accounting for approximately 25% of total sales. Its broader supplier base includes roughly 750 partners across more than 100 countries, offering a diverse product selection that supports business continuity and quality assurance for customers.

Through the exhibition, almeera also plans to explore new business relationships, identify emerging products, and diversify its sourcing strategies. This initiative aligns with a broader transformation underway at the company, which recently unveiled a refreshed brand identity in April 2026. Since then, almeera has modernized its retail locations, enhanced digital platforms, and advanced its customer experience initiatives, including the Wafa loyalty program.

The company’s digital offerings, accessible via the almeera app and website, extend its reach throughout Qatar, aiming to improve convenience and accessibility for both consumers and corporate clients. Almeera representatives are available to meet with visitors, suppliers, and industry stakeholders at Stand B07, Hall 5, throughout the duration of Hospitality Qatar 2026.
