The Protection and Social Rehabilitation Centre (AMAN) participated in two back-to-school initiatives led by Qatar’s Ministry of Education and Higher Education and the Ministry of Social Development and Family. The activities were held at West Walk as part of the “Back to School 2026-27” campaign and the “Walk Your Kids to School” campaign, respectively.
At the event, AMAN Centre established a pavilion offering educational and interactive activities aimed at promoting personal safety, preventing violence and bullying, and emphasizing the importance of family dialogue. These efforts are designed to support a positive environment for children both at school and within their families.
Fadal al-Kaabi, acting executive director of the AMAN Centre, stressed the organization’s commitment to community engagement focusing on raising awareness among families and children about their rights and the significance of safe behaviors. He highlighted that such initiatives are vital for fostering supportive school surroundings and strengthening family relationships.
Bakhita al-Ghayathin, the centre’s community awareness director, explained that their approach combines interaction and entertainment to effectively communicate awareness messages. The campaigns aim to reinforce self-respect among children, encourage the rejection of bullying and violence, and promote the use of appropriate channels for problem-solving and seeking help when needed.
The joint efforts by government ministries and community organizations like AMAN seek to enhance child safety and well-being as students return to school for the new academic year.
