Kuwait’s top leaders extended formal congratulations to the President of the Philippines, Ferdinand Romualdez Marcos Jr., in observance of the country’s Independence Day on June 12.
On June 13, His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah sent a cable expressing well wishes for the president’s health and the continued progress and prosperity of the Philippine people. Similarly, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah and His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah each conveyed their own messages of congratulations, echoing the hopes for President Marcos’s wellbeing and the nation’s advancement.
The Independence Day commemorates the Philippines’ declaration of independence from Spanish rule in 1898. Kuwait’s messages reflect ongoing diplomatic goodwill and the strengthening ties between Kuwait and the Philippines.
