Kuwait’s “Amir in the Heart” initiative highlights the strong loyalty and affection that Kuwaitis hold for His Highness the Amir, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, according to leading figures involved in the project and local governance. The initiative, which seeks to unify expressions of allegiance across the nation’s diwaniyas—traditional gatherings pivotal in Kuwaiti social life—was discussed during recent meetings with its founder, coordinators, and governors.

Fahad Abdulrahman Al-Moajil, Secretary-General of Kuwait’s Diwaniyas and Head of the Kuwait Diwaniyas Gathering, described the initiative as a genuine reflection of the deep bond between Kuwaitis and the Amir. He emphasized that patriotism and loyalty are enduring values embedded in Kuwaiti culture, passed down through generations, and not confined to formal occasions. Al-Moajil said the diwaniya serves as a critical institution beyond mere social assembly, functioning as a venue for dialogue, consultation, and the transmission of national values such as solidarity and patriotism.

Al-Moajil noted the historical significance of diwaniyas in Kuwait’s social and political landscape, tracing their connection to the leadership back to the era of the late Sheikh Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah. He underscored that the Amir has maintained close engagement with the people throughout his tenure, valuing their perspectives and concerns—a practice that has strengthened the relationship between the leadership and citizens.

Farwaniya Governor Sheikh Athbi Nasser Al-Athbi Al-Sabah said the initiative captures the loyalty, love, and unity Kuwaitis feel for the Amir, describing these sentiments as deeply rooted and transcending specific events. He credited the current stability and confidence in Kuwait’s future to the Amir’s governance style, which prioritizes the rule of law, the restoration of institutional prestige, and placing national interests above all else. Sheikh Athbi stressed that the people view wise leadership as essential to the nation’s security and cohesion, praising the Amir for his efforts to move Kuwait forward and preserve its unity.

Jahra Governor Hamad Jassim Al-Habashi also affirmed that the “Amir in the Heart” initiative expresses genuine patriotic feeling within Kuwaiti society. He highlighted diwaniyas as the voice of the people and a platform for collective appreciation of the Amir’s commitment to reform, development, and safeguarding Kuwait’s resources. Al-Habashi described Kuwait’s improved confidence in its future as stemming from a strong state governed by law and effective institutions.

All officials involved expressed prayers for the Amir’s protection and health, emphasizing that the initiative embodies more than symbolic loyalty; it represents a sustained and heartfelt national commitment to unity, stability, and the continued security of Kuwait. The initiative reflects the enduring connection between the Kuwaiti people and the Al-Sabah family, reinforcing values the leadership and citizens strive to uphold for current and future generations.
