His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Amir of Qatar, has engaged in diplomatic correspondence with several international leaders aimed at enhancing bilateral relations. On Sunday, a written message from King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein of Jordan, focusing on the ties between Qatar and Jordan and opportunities for their advancement, was received by Qatar’s Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Ahmed bin Hassan Al Hammadi. He accepted the message during a meeting with Jordan’s Ambassador to Qatar, Zaid Mufleh Al Lawzi.

In a reciprocal diplomatic effort, the Amir also sent a written message to Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto. This communication, which addresses strengthening and further developing Qatar’s relations with Indonesia, was delivered by Qatar’s Ambassador to Indonesia, Dr. Sultan bin Mubarak Al Dosari, in discussions with Indonesian Foreign Minister Sugiono.

Separately, formal congratulatory cables were exchanged on the occasion of Nepal’s Constitution Day. Both the Amir, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, and the Deputy Amir, Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Thani, sent congratulatory messages to Nepalese President Ramchandra Paudel. Qatar’s Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, also extended congratulations to Nepal’s Prime Minister Balendra Shah.

These diplomatic exchanges reflect Qatar’s ongoing efforts to maintain and reinforce its international relationships across the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and South Asia.
