His Highness the Amir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, received the credentials of two newly appointed ambassadors during a ceremony at the Amiri Diwan in Doha on Thursday morning. The ambassadors presenting their credentials were HE Saeed Abdullah Al Qamzi, representing the United Arab Emirates, and HE Dr. Mahmood Yakubu, representing the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
During the ceremony, Sheikh Tamim welcomed the diplomats and extended his best wishes for their success in fulfilling their diplomatic responsibilities. He also expressed optimism about the continued growth and prosperity of bilateral relations between Qatar and both the UAE and Nigeria.
The two ambassadors, in turn, conveyed greetings from their respective countries’ leaders and offered their wishes for the ongoing development and well-being of the people of Qatar.
An official reception was held at the Amiri Diwan to mark the arrival of the ambassadors and their assumption of duties in the country.
