His Highness the Amir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, received separate telephone calls on Saturday from the presidents of Cyprus and Equatorial Guinea, who offered their condolences on the passing of His Highness the Father Amir, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani.

During the call, President Nikos Christodoulides of Cyprus expressed his heartfelt sympathy to the Amir over the death of the late Father Amir. In response, Sheikh Tamim conveyed his sincere appreciation for the president’s condolences and extended wishes for Christodoulides’ good health and for the continued development and prosperity of bilateral relations between Qatar and Cyprus.

In a separate conversation, President Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo of Equatorial Guinea also conveyed his condolences to the Amir on the passing of Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani. The Amir thanked the Equatorial Guinean leader for his kind sentiments and offered wishes for Obiang Nguema Mbasogo’s health and wellness, as well as ongoing progress and prosperity for the people of Equatorial Guinea.

These exchanges follow the recent passing of Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, a prominent former leader of Qatar, whose death has prompted condolences and expressions of sympathy from various international figures. The communications underscore the continued diplomatic relations and mutual respect between Qatar and the two nations.
