His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani extended formal congratulations to several world leaders on their countries’ national independence anniversaries, underscoring Qatar’s diplomatic engagement with key international partners.

On the occasion of Malaysia’s Independence Day, the Amir sent a congratulatory message to King Sultan Ibrahim Iskandar. A similar message was also sent by HH the Deputy Amir Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad al-Thani. In parallel, HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim al-Thani conveyed congratulations to Malaysia’s Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim.

Qatar’s leadership replicated this gesture toward Kyrgyzstan, with the Amir sending congratulations to President Sadyr Japarov. The Deputy Amir also sent a message to Japarov, while the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister addressed his counterpart, Prime Minister Adylbek Aleshovich Kasymaliev.

The same diplomatic protocol was observed for Trinidad and Tobago, with the Amir congratulating President Christine Carla Kangaloo. The Deputy Amir sent a message in a similar vein, and the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister extended congratulations to Trinidad and Tobago’s Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar.

In a separate diplomatic development, Sheikh Tamim received a written communication from United Arab Emirates President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed al-Nahyan concerning bilateral relations and potential avenues to strengthen cooperation between the two countries. The message was delivered to HE the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Sultan bin Saad al-Muraikhi during his meeting with the UAE ambassador to Qatar, Saeed Abdullah al-Qamzi, held yesterday.

These exchanges highlight Qatar’s continuing efforts to maintain and deepen ties with key international partners across diverse regions.
