The Ajman Department of Tourism, Culture and Media is currently leading a promotional roadshow across Central Asia, running from October 12 to October 16, to boost the emirate’s tourism profile and diversify its international visitor base. The campaign includes events in Tashkent on October 13 and Almaty on October 15, targeting key travel and tourism partners in the region.
This initiative is designed to showcase Ajman’s wide-ranging tourism offerings, from cultural and heritage sites to natural attractions, hospitality services, family experiences, and leisure activities. Officials emphasize the emirate’s appeal as a distinctive, accessible destination with year-round attractions suitable for a variety of traveler interests.
Mahmood Khaleel Alhashmi, Director General of the Ajman Department of Tourism, Culture and Media, stated that the roadshow is a vital tool for cultivating long-term relationships with international travel partners. "Through our visits to Tashkent and Almaty, we aim to deepen engagement with the travel trade, identify new opportunities for cooperation, and introduce more audiences to Ajman’s distinctive tourism experiences," he said.
Alhashmi highlighted Central Asia as a strategically important market within Ajman’s broader tourism diversification plan. Building direct connections with partners in this region is expected to support sustainable visitor growth and strengthen the competitiveness of Ajman’s tourism industry on a global scale.
This Central Asia campaign follows previous promotional efforts across Europe, India, and China, underscoring the Department’s targeted strategy to expand its international network and increase Ajman’s visibility among diverse visitor segments. The ongoing outreach aligns with the emirate’s goals of fostering sustained tourism development and enhancing its profile in both regional and global tourism markets.
