Former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo has purchased a $9.6 million estate in the Hamptons, according to local real estate sources. The property, located in the Southampton area, comprises four parcels of land and includes two houses. The main residence is a waterfront home featuring nine bedrooms, while the additional house serves as a guesthouse. Amenities on the estate include a tennis court, swimming pool, gym, and wine cellar.

Cuomo, 68, is reported to have acquired the property as an investment and to be near his brother, Chris Cuomo, a NewsNation anchor. The siblings have been known to spend time in the area fishing during the summer months. Cuomo retains an apartment in Manhattan alongside the newly purchased Hamptons estate.

Records from the Suffolk County Clerk’s Office show the transaction was made via a limited liability company and paid in cash. Cuomo’s presence in the Hamptons is well established; he previously addressed an audience of over 500 people at a service on antisemitism in 2025 at the Hampton Synagogue in Westhampton Beach. He has also been seen visiting his friend, musician Billy Joel, at his nearby beachfront property.

A representative for Andrew Cuomo declined to comment on the purchase.
