Ange Postecoglou has been appointed head coach of Saudi Pro League club Al-Nassr, signing a two-year contract to begin managing the team next season. The Australian coach returns to a high-profile role after being dismissed from Tottenham Hotspur and Nottingham Forest within a four-month period last year.

Postecoglou replaces Jorge Jesus, who left Al-Nassr following the club’s recent league title. While overseeing the team, Postecoglou will work closely with several notable players, including Cristiano Ronaldo, Sadio Mane, Kingsley Coman, and Joao Felix.

Prior to this appointment, Postecoglou was considered a frontrunner for the Scotland national team head coach position, following the departure of Steve Clarke. However, he opted to join Al-Nassr, where he will face the challenge of maintaining the club’s domestic success and managing a roster featuring several internationally recognized stars.
