Packing Angel is set to return to competitive racing tomorrow night in the Class Two Shek O Handicap over 1,650 meters at Happy Valley Racecourse. The six-year-old gelding, trained by Francis Lui Kin-wai, will be ridden by jockey Karis Teetan, who recently guided the horse through a dirt trial at Sha Tin as part of the preparation for the upcoming race.

Last season, Packing Angel secured a single victory at Happy Valley over this same course and distance. He recorded consistent performances throughout the campaign, finishing within the top five on five additional occasions. Notably, the gelding placed third in the 2025 Hong Kong Derby, which covers a 2,000-meter distance, highlighting his competitiveness at higher-class events.

For his return, Packing Angel has drawn barrier six, positioning him among a competitive field that includes rivals such as Silvery Breeze, Le Zonda, Max Que, and Armor Golden Eagle. The race marks an important stage in the campaign for the locally based runner as he seeks to build on his previous form this season.
